FLAG HOISTING CEREMONY HELD ON THE OCCASION OF 74^th  REPUBLIC DAY OF INDIA

The 74th  Republic Day of India was marked at the Embassy of India in Doha today, with great fervor and enthusiasm with participation of over 300 members of the Indian community.

H.E. Dr Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to Qatar hoisted the National Flag at the Embassy premises followed by singing the national anthem.

Ambassador read out the  President of India’s Address on the Republic day. Ambassador highlighted that 2023 marked the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of full diplomatic relations between India and Qatar. He commended the Indian community  for being a living bridge between the two countries and for their contributions in strengthening the historic bonds of friendship between India and Qatar.

The Indian school children and community members rendered patriotic songs and dances.

The event was was held in a hybrid format with simultaneous live streaming online on social media handles and on You Tube Channel of the Embassy for attending the event virtually.
