Registration of Marriage
Procedure/documents required for registering a civil marriage at the Embassy
Registration of civil marriage at the Embassy of India can be done if at least one of the partner is an Indian national and has a resident visa of the State of Qatar. Following are the requirements and documents to be submitted at the Embassy:
In case one of the partners is not an Indian national:
For submission of documents, applicants are required to seek an online appointment at https://www.indianembassyqatar.gov.in/get-appointment
Submit the above documents along with the following, duly filled in, forms and prescribed fee at the Embassy:

On submission of all the above documents/forms, a no objection notice will be placed on Embassy notice board for a period of one month. Simultaneously, the applicant is required to place an advertisement in a local newspaper in Qatar and in a leading English newspaper in the native place in India or his/her native place in foreign country, if one of the partner is of foreign nationality. A NOC letter to this effect will be issued by the Embassy to the applicant.
After completion of one month from the date of advertisement in Newspapers and on the Embassy's notice board, the request for registration of marriage will be processed for clearance. The original newspaper clippings are required to be submitted to the Embassy. After clearance, the applicant will be informed of the date for registration of marriage at the Embassy.
Kindly note that the Marriage registration is subject to approval of documents by the competent authority.
