Indian Naval Ship Tarangini visited Doha from 8 to 11 December 2018. The ship had embarked six officers as ‘sea riders’ from the Qatar Emiri Naval Force for sail ship experience.
During the ship's stay in harbour, the Commanding officer called on HE Mr. P Kumaran, Ambassador of India to Qatar. In addition, cross visits and visit of Indian school children onboard Tarangini were conducted.
Several senior officers of Qatar Emiri Naval Forces also visited the ship and a walk around and presentation was conducted for them. The visit comes under the deep rooted and multi-faceted friendly ties between the two countries and is a testimony of growing maritime cooperation between India and Qatar.
