II      LOST PASSPORT/MEDICAL EMERGENCY

      In case of passport lost/misplaced or any medical emergency, Indian fans can contact the above numbers or walk into the Embassy or ICSC, DECC for advice/help required.

 

III     MEDICINES/DRUG ADVICE

      It is prohibited to carry medicines which contain narcotics or psychotropic substances while arriving in the State of Qatar. Carrying prohibited medicines to Qatar can lead to arrest and jail sentence.

 

     The prohibited medicines include - Lyrica, Tramadol, Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium), Zolam, Clonazepam, Zolpidem, Codeine, Methadone, Pregabalin, etc.  A list of prohibited/banned medicines in Qatar may be seen at:

Medicines meant for personal use and not banned in Qatar, should be brought with proper prescription from a recognized doctor from a reputed Hospital, only for a period of 30 days.

DO NOT CARRY MEDICINES FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, ETC.

 

IV     BAGGAGE ADVISORY

      FIFA fans are advised not to accept and bring into Qatar any baggage from friends, relatives or any unknown person without thoroughly checking the contents in it.   

   

     There have been instances where baggage received from friends and relatives contained psychotropic drugs and other banned items in Qatar resulting in arrest and jail sentence to the passenger bringing in the baggage 

 

V      TRAVEL ADVISORY

     All travellers from India to Qatar are kindly advised to fully apprise themselves of the travel guidelines issued by the State of Qatar before visiting Qatar which may also be seen at:

  1. All Travelers must adhere to the measures in place in the State of Qatar to limit the spread of COVID-19 at all times.
  2. Visitors are no longer required to bring a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or Rapid Antigen test certificate before traveling to Qatar.
  3. From 1 November 2022, visitors entering Qatar are not required to pre-register on the Ehteraz health application prior to arrival. 
  4. However, it is mandatory for individuals to present the health status of the Ehteraz application when entering public and private healthcare facilities in Qatar.
  5. Travelers who test positive for COVID-19 after arriving in Qatar must undergo self-isolation measures in accordance with the procedures followed in the State of Qatar.
  6. The Health Status on the Ehteraz app will remain RED until the end of their period of isolation.
